Fair Trade Red Heart Bracelet

This stretchy fair trade bead bracelet is very pretty. It has two red heart beads intermixed with multi-coloured round orange beads, small yellow beads and two pear drop shaped red beads. The beads are threaded onto elastic to make it easy to put on and get off.

The importer of this fair trade bracelet is a member of BAFTS and has been trading fairly for over ten years. They buy fair traded products from India, Indonesia, Nepal and Thailand. Most products are purchased directly from the primary producers. In India they will purchase from larger companies who provide benefits for their workers such as free healthcare and free education. One of their suppliers provide funding for two schools in Rajasthan. One supplier in Nepal supports an orphanage and he gives his workers work clothes and holiday pay. In Indonesia and Thailand where they only deal with the primary producer the supplier may provide advance payments for them to purchase materials and other necessities. All workers are paid a fair price for each product with is above the national average and men and women are paid the same rate.
